National Geographic has included Egypt on its list of 25 best tourist destinations for 2023.

The Avenue of the Sphinxes in Luxor, which opened last year, and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, which is about to open and will house the complete collection of King Tutankhamun and many other artefacts from ancient Egypt, were both singled out as top destinations for tourists seeking heritage and culture.

Egypt placed second on the list of the finest vacation spots for this

year, according to the UK’s Daily Mail news website, which named it as one of the top tourist destinations for spring and summer of 2022.

The second most popular destination in the globe and the ninth best place for city lovers in 2022, according to TripAdvisor, the largest online travel resource. Hurghada was ranked as the tenth most popular destination.

Sharm El-Sheikh was also named by TripAdvisor as one of the top travel destinations in the world for divers and ecotourism in 2022, adding that recent economic growth and development there have made it one of the most opulent resort cities.

The Ras Mohamed Nature Protected Area, which is 12 kilometres from Sharm El-Sheikh, was also listed as a top attraction.
